FestiLAB is a project that will be launched this year and continue henceforth, and covers the workshops to be organized with the participation by both native and foreign masters. On March 19, there will be a workshop under the title of “Thinking in Images” by Harun Farocki, a video phisolopher and one of the most important figures of the film industry in Germany. Within the scope of the activity to take place with the participation by Harun Farocki and to be presented by Andreas Treske, movies will be watched and image production will be talked for a day long.
Pierre Bismuth, known for deconstructing the cultural works and reconstructing them in a humoristic way, will realize a 3-day workshop on 16, 17, and 18 March. In the workshop, Bismuth who won the Oscar with Michel Gondry ve Charlie Kaufman for the film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, will talk about editing by giving examples of the Hollywood films re-edited by him, some video works and the short film he made on “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. And the famous American producer Sandy Lieberson will meet the movie fans on 17 March. There will be a workshop by Ufuk Önen, a composer and producer, on 13 March; and on 20 March Gerard Labady, French composer and sound designer, will realize another one on the use of sound and music in cinema.
